The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially released the RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 Notification (CEN 02/2026) for 6,557 vacancies. The recruitment drive includes posts of Technician Grade-I (Signal) and Technician Grade-III across various Railway Zones in India. Eligible candidates can apply online from 30 June 2026 to 29 July 2026.

Educational Qualification

Technician Grade-I (Signal)

Candidates should possess any one of the following:

• B.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation
• Engineering Diploma
• B.E./B.Tech in relevant discipline

Technician Grade-III

Candidates should possess:

• Matriculation (10th Pass) with ITI in relevant trade

OR

• 10th Pass with PCM subjects as prescribed in the notification

Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit (As on 01 July 2026)

Technician Grade-I (Signal)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 33 Years

Technician Grade-III

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules.

Salary Details

Technician Grade-I (Signal)

• Pay Level: Level-5
• Initial Pay: ₹29,200 per month

Technician Grade-III

• Pay Level: Level-2
• Initial Pay: ₹19,900 per month

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other Railway benefits.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Stage 2: Document Verification (DV)

Stage 3: Medical Examination

Candidates must qualify each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.
